Applied online via their website. After 4-6 weeks I received an e-mail requesting I complete two different personality reviews. After completing those I heard back from them the next day requesting I show up for an interview the following week.
Dress for the interview was Business Attire and, along with 10-25 other candidates, we were given a panel interview (2:1) from pre-decided questions to answer. Challenges at work, Prioritize stressful time, time you had conflict with customer, time you had conflict with co-worker, dangerous scenario at work, preventing dangerous scenarios. Then was given a written test, 5-8 questions on each EMS topic (about 30-50 questions overall). These were not timed. The interviews were staggered so everyone was bouncing around.
After those two were done you change into athletic attire and proceed to be given a patient scenario. Example - MVA unconscious Adult, conscious Infant.
Then you were allowed to leave and come back in the afternoon after lunch (1 pm). At this time you were given the physical agility test. This included carrying a bag upstairs, 2 min CPR, carrying 180 lbs dummy downstairs onto cot, maneuvering dummy around obstacle course and loading into an ambulance in under 12 min.
After this, CareFlite contacts you regarding an offer 2-3 business days later.
