The process was very long and headaches. The overall process took 3 months after constant follow-up from my end. Initially, their HR reach out to me about an opportunity because they saw my resume, we went over couple of different positions, she asked me to go on Cargomatic website to find the position that i would like to apply for and send it over to her. Which i did send over a few positions that i thought i may be a good fit to move forward with. Later that week, I interview with the CPO to talk about the company, get to know me, etc. Still did not be specific about which position they are looking to hire for me. Few days later, i was directed to the hiring manager for account management, had a great connection, but it ends there. I had to follow up 2-3 times before they told me they have to finish reviewing other candidates. It took another 2 weeks before they pass me to another hiring manager that works with the drayage operation teams. Total 4 interviews by now, and still not specific on what type of position I am applying/joining for. After that, i waited for another 2ish weeks with constant follow-ups, finally, the HR came back and said they would like to check for reference, background, etc. I provided the info, and waited for another week before following up again, letting them know that i have another job offer waiting, if they could expedite the process so i would be able to decide. It is at that point, that their HR told me that they are moving forward with someone else without giving me an offer. All because it takes them a long time to verify against my references and decided not to move forward because i asked them to speed up the process?
In short, i wasted 3 months interviewing with a company that was not specific about their career opportunity and direction. Overall, Lack of communication.
