Almost a month: fast (1 day) reply to my application (not surprised with my experience level), 23 minutes late for phone interview (I had to send an email reminding appointment time), and was given an interview time over the phone. I sent a follow-up email to confirm it. Received an email back 6 days later, the morning of the interview with details about where the office was. I wasn't even bothered by this because they're a start-up and looking for someone to do exactly what a candidate like me needs to feel comfy with, and they've got an incredibly innovative software product.
The office is a tiny upstairs unit in bad need of a renovation in Venice Beach (it appears to be an apartment used as an office). There are some random A/C units. Everyone seemed pretty friendly but this WAS DEFINITELY A LEAN START UP.
I actually thought the HR/Director Jamie Bond was awesome... They certainly needed an office manager and a new office. I would reapply if there was a space on the desk next to one of the 5 people in the little programming room. Kidding, I need AC.
