Phone interview first, which went really well. The process to then schedule an in-person interview was a bit of a nightmare, because HR does not have its act together at all; I had to remind them multiple times to schedule me. The in-person interview was lackluster: the front desk wasn't ready for me then ignored me to the point where I got started late.
Then I sat in a room for ~3 hours while repeatedly fielding mostly the same questions to each of the 5 people that spoke with me, and wasn't offered water until the 4th person The person I phone interviewed with was the last person I saw and his behavior was markedly different from the phone interview. The HR person I spoke with had obviously been reading Glassdoor and was trying really hard to convince me the reviews here weren't true. I also thought it was strange not be given a tour of the lab/facilities.
The whole process except for the phone interview was giving me red flags left and right.
At the end it took HR three weeks to get back to me to try and get me to accept a lower position/lower offer. Then she said the hiring manager would get back to me, then it took two months to get a rejection letter. It was downright insulting, and I would caution anyone to stay away from this place. It's a dysfunctional nightmare where they expect you to work yourself into the ground for minimal pay and slim promotion prospects.
