Out of my dozens of interviews I've had in my life, this is the first time I'm reporting on one. The overall process was fairly straightforward with only three rounds, but the second round consists of a very lengthy takehome assignment which took me more than 50 hours to complete due to its complexity and requirements.
The presentation round starts with actual training on their LMS for their software, then you must conduct a thorough analysis of process data on their demo environment, and finally you compile your findings into a presentation and present to two individuals. The whole thing simulates a real life project.
At the very end of the process (after the final round), I was informed that despite having one of the best presentations they've seen, I was not selected because they went with someone who had prior experience in the domain.
Why are you asking your applicants to go through a mock project if you will simply take the candidate with prior experience? This experience was a complete waste of time, and Celonis should be shamed for asking their candidates to complete this exercise.
