I applied online for two positions in early January 2020. A couple of weeks later, I was contacted for a phone interview for one of them, and was told I was on the list to be contacted regarding the second. The interview was very pleasant and informative, but at the end I was told that they didn't actually have a time frame for starting in-person interviews and filling the position. I was told they would forward my answers to the supervisor, and they would be in touch at some point. Almost six weeks later, they sent me an e-mail saying they'd decided to pursue other candidates. I've never heard back about the other job. While this wouldn't necessarily put me off applying again, other candidates should be aware that just because they're advertising a position doesn't mean they're in a hurry to fill it.
