I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Charles River Laboratories (Sherbrooke, QC) in Feb 2021
Interview
Team meeting with a lot of questions regarding skills checking and competence for the position. They asked also for background experience and previous work experience in this position. They also describe the major responsibilities for the position. Finally, they give chance to ask your own question
The process was straightforward and professional. I first had a phone screening with HR to discuss my background, interest in the role, and basic qualifications. This was followed by a virtual panel interview with scientists and the hiring manager. Questions covered my research experience, technical skills relevant to the lab’s focus, and examples of troubleshooting experimental issues. They also asked about working in a team and adapting to shifting project priorities. The interviewers were friendly, gave clear information about the role, and seemed genuinely interested in my experience. Overall, it was an organized and respectful process with no unexpected or overly tricky questions.
