The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chemonics International (Washington, DC) in Apr 2012
Interview
My experience was pretty similar to all the others posted here. Phone interview wasn't too difficult (basic interview questions, plus define "versatility, leadership, integrity," and give an example of when you've exhibited these qualities). Next, they asked me to come down for an accounting skills test. Since I was from out of town, the manager, who was (oddly?) the same person who conducted my phone interview decided to interview me right after the test. Not being prepared for the interview, I was a little nervous but made it through okay. They informed me within a week that the job went to someone else. Having had no past accounting experience, it was tough to feel too bad about it. Plus everyone I spoke with was incredibly nice, and responsive throughout the process. Pretty standard interview all around, and based on the few people I met, a friendly organization.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Define Versatility, Leadership, and Integrity. Describe a situation when you exhibited each of these qualities.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Chemonics International in Jun 2024
Interview
The interview process began with a phone screening conducted by HR, followed by a panel interview with three individuals several weeks later. There was approximately a three-week gap between the two stages.
The recruiter and the interview panelists were kind, encouraging, and responsive throughout the interviews, which I appreciated. I was informed that I would receive an update on the next steps shortly, but I was ultimately left without any further communication.
It's disappointing and disrespectful for candidates to undergo two rounds of interviews without receiving any follow-up. While candidates are expected to be prompt and communicative, companies often do not uphold the same standard.
I have recruited and interviewed for positions in the past, so I understand the challenges of the process. However, I still made efforts to regularly communicate with candidates out of respect for their time and efforts. Too bad Chemonics doesn't do the same.

There has been 1 interview so far, not sure if there will be more than 1 interviews. The whole process has taken a couple of weeks since I first applied
