Interview
Incredibly positive experience so far. HR contact has been superb, really quick and accommodating with any last minute changes. Friendly and generous with time to answer questions, from interview to offer stage. Interview stages very clear from the start, you will have initial call with HR , followed by a panel interview and if successful a last round interview with a VP. If you prepare well, study the JD and know your staff you will be absolutely fine, no trick questions . They genuinely seemed interested in my experience and wanting to understand my skills and interests. The final stage interview has more of a conversation format but should still be prepared to answer general questions about your experience/ interest in the role and future plans. I really enjoyed that final call I had with the VP, helped me to understand the role better and confirmed my choice in accepting the offer that followed.

Question 1
Why chemonics - how does this role fit with your career aspirations
what experience do you have with budget management and if any with FCDO projects - follow up question what finance actions are you comfortable with, what do you find most challenging in financial management
There was a brief phone screen to determine fit. Then there was an hour-long panel interview with less than 12 questions - some scenario, some "tell about a time when". There was time at the end to ask questions.

Tell about a time you had to think creatively to find a solution to a problem.
First round was an HR screening (cold call) over the phone. Second round was an in-person interview before a panel of 3. It was peer led with standard questions. Interviewers didn’t seem to have much experience in the process and didn’t ask many job/skills-related questions.

Interview
There was a multi-step panel interview after an initial screening by the recruiter. The first panel asked general questions, where the second was more specialized, including asking questions in French to test my language knowledge.
