I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chewy (Dania Beach, FL) in Nov 2016
Interview
The interview began with an exploratory phone conversation to first identify if my skills and mindset lined up with the position as well as the company's culture and mission. After identifying that my skill set matched what the position entailed and that I would be a good fit, I was invited to their office for a couple of one-on-one interviews to further discuss the position as well as iron out any questions I may have. I had the opportunity to also chat with the CPO who ultimately sold me on what an incredible opportunity working with Chewy would be, not only because of their growth and culture but mainly because of how accessible the company's leaders are.

Question 1
It seems that Chewy does a great job of tailoring their questions specifically to the candidate at hand.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Chewy
Interview
Applied online and 10 minutes later, received an automated rejection email. I am more than qualified, yet, a bot scanned my resume and rejected it. Way to be “human” chewy! Candidates deserve more than that. You just lost a customer.
Went well they were nice and professional but I didn’t move forward because the position was too entry level I just wanted to be at the company but it seems like a fun place to work
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chewy
Interview
I have never had a more unprofessional experience with recruiters. Interviews scheduled and canceled five minutes before the call or after the call was scheduled FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. I was honestly amazed at the lack of maturity. Simply, “My day got busy” every time. Zero apology.
I should have just ghosted him right back. But I took the call, sucked it up and delivered a solid interview. Was told I’d be hearing from the hiring manage next and received an automated rejection email from a position I didn’t even apply to weeks later.
Chewy customer service might be noteworthy, but their recruiters need to be held accountable. This has soured my perception of the company as a whole.
