Had a 30 minute call with HR/recruiter which was really pleasant. It really had me high on the company, at least until I had a call with the hiring manager....that 'interview' was unlike any interview I've had before. Honestly, I debated deleting my Chewy account because it was an embarrassing 30 minutes. I've never had such weird questions asked and patronized like I was an idiot getting asked basic questions that anyone in the industry would know after a week of work. This was for a senior position! What a mess.
I applied online. I interviewed at Chewy in Mar 2021
Interview
The process started with a recruiter reaching out to discuss background, interests. Next step after recruiter phone screen is two separate phone screens one including a teammate and another one with the hiring manager. In my case, the second call was with HM and it was decided to progress to the next & final round which is a panel round with 5 panelists. After moving me to the final round, the recruiter came back after a week or so telling position has been put on a hold due to team re-structuring.

Three total rounds besides HR screening. 45-min Amazon style first round and second round with two team leads, and the last round was a virtual onsite with five people, each one was 45-min. Overall HR has been very transparent and helpful along the way. The questions are very Amazon style, interviewers liked to dive deep into specific experiences. Knowing Chewy's operating principles and preparing stories would be very helpful
