I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chewy (New York, NY)
Interview
First interview went great. Everything seemed to make sense. The convo was related to the job description and overall pleasant.
The second interview was a disaster. Two people one of which was 30 minutes late due to needing a nap because he was up half the night troubleshooting some issue. Not only was he late but asked nothing related to the job description, was constantly distracted by someone in the room and overall just unpleasant.
He remarked that it's hard to find someone for this position and I would agree. When your job description has nothing to do with the position you're actually hiring for that's going to be quite a challenge to find someone. The job title was for Cloud Engineer but the interview was for an SRE. I'm not actually sure if there is a distinction between them at Chewy so this may be expected from their side.
