I applied online. I interviewed at Chewy (Minneapolis, MN) in Apr 2025
Interview
This was the most extensive interview process I have gone through in my career. The interviews themselves were not exceptionally difficult, but the number of them was ridiculous. It started with a phone interview, followed by a prep call for the interview series. The first interview was a pre-interview interview and was an hour long. It was essentially a traditional interview. After passing that, then the series of 4 more interviews began. Personally, I think 6 interviews is ridiculous, especially if you get through all of them and then are told you didn't get the job. I put a minimum of an hour of prep into each of these, plus each interview being an hour long, totaling 15 hours or so dedicated to just interviewing. I will not be applying here again and risk wasting that much time on one position just to get denied.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Chewy in Jun 2022
Interview
The interview process took 4 months. There were times recruiters told me they never got my email or their email must have gotten stuck in their outbox. I had to set aside time and multiple days to never have an interview.
The interview process was 1 phone screening. Then 1 initial interview. If that goes well you move on to a 4 hour interview with multiple other directors and managers. If your first interview was ok you'll have another 1 on 1 interview before the 4 hour interviews.
Overall I found the experience frustrating and unprofessional. I spent months interviewing with them and they never shared any feedback or reasons as to why they I didn't meet their requirements. They don't respect applicants time.
