Interview
So about a month and a half ago now I applied online to my local Chipotle on a whim. Surprisingly the day after I applied they called me in for an interview. I was extremely nervous because I've never had a job before. I did my research and learned that they want really enthusiastic and they look for 13 characteristics when it comes to hiring people. My first interview went pretty well, every manager and crew member I've interviewed with have been extremely nice and encouraging. But long story short, since then, I've been called in for five interviews in total. Every interview has gone great and they have been practically the same questions but with different people. After my fourth interview, the guy said that they would call me for "final orientation." I waited two weeks but they never called. So I decided I would call them to follow up. I called and explained that it had been two weeks since my interview and I was just checking in. The crew member who answered asked for my name and said that he would call me back within 3-4 hours to update me on the status of my application. I never got a call back. The next day I decided to call again, maybe they had forgotten. I called and another crew member answered, I explained that I called yesterday and no one got back to me. She apologized and asked for my name and then told me she would call me back in a bit since I had called around 12 and it was their peak hour. I waited and I still did not get a call back. I waited about four days to call back again, this time I called early in the morning so they couldn't give me the excuse that they were busy. The crew member who answered this time was someone who had interviewed me before. I explained my situation and he then said "Ok well let me put you on hold, I'm going to talk to my manager." I was on hold but then I heard the dial tone; they hung up on me. I was so frustrated I wasn't even going to call back but I really wanted the job so I called again and the guy apologized for hanging up. He then asked if i could go back to Chipotle the next day and interview with another person, which made that my 5th interview. It has been two weeks since my last interview and I still have not been hired.
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Bixby Knolls, CA) in Jul 2026
Interview
The interview was pretty easy, but I had to wait 30 to 40 minutes after my interview was scheduled to be interviewed. Inside the Chipotle, it was extremely hot and really uncomfortable, but other than that, the interview was pretty easy. But I haven’t heard back, as I was supposed to get a call on Sunday.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly asked me for my availability throughout the week, if I’m able to work weekends, what my good and bad qualities were, and that’s pretty much it and hobbies.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
