I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle in Apr 2016
Interview
When I first got there I had to wait at least 10-15 minutes for the manager to come out. He gave the interview in the middle of the restaurant with people sitting at the table next to us. He was very creepy but understanding of that it was my first interview. He told me that whatever position you apply for, you have to train for every other one (cashier, food prep, cook). I was very nervous and was blanking about the questions. So he just said goodbye, I got an email about an hour later saying I didn't get the job.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Denton, TX)
Interview
Interview process was straightforward and easy. You submit an online application. Then you do an in-person interview with a manager. The manager I met with was very friendly and the youngest ever at this branch (or district). She asked me general questions about my background, if I had experience working in customer service, food, etc., my availability, and asked if I had any questions.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you think describes a good customer interaction?
The process lasted less than 10 minutes, and all the questions asked I was prepared for since I found them online the night before. Simple things like "where do you see yourself in 6 months," and "what makes you want to work here". Everything was extremely casual and it was not a group interview since I was hired during COVID-19.
