I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Pasadena, CA) in Jul 2013
Interview
Applied online since I know someone who is working there. Received a phone call the following week from one of the managers requesting an interview. When I came in for an interview, she wasn't even there (???) and another manager interviewed me and only one other potential employee instead.
The other manager just asked why I wanted to work there. I told her that I liked the environment, food, and service I received. She asked when I was available to come. Again, I told her that I could come every single day. She seemed bothered by both of us, upset, and dismissed us too quickly. Pointed out that we should call her if we had any more questions and that she would talk to her general manager (lie). When I tried to call her back a few days later to follow up, she bluffed and said her general manager only came in on Fridays and she'd consult with her then. I would "receive a call". Of course, I never did.
I'm not sure why she bothered interviewing us. Never heard from them again. Never got the job.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
