I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Fayetteville, AR) in Jan 2015
Interview
Went through a month long process with 3 interviews. The first was a group interview, the second was one on one where I was taken to the back of the store to meet their crew and was told I was going to be hired right then, but then was offered another interview. They waited a week to call after being told I was going to get a call the next morning. During that interview I was taken to the back and was originally spoken to by the apprentice as he was washing dishes. I was back there being splashed by dish water then repeated being passed off to other crew members, many of which were unaware that was going to happen. That interview was not well done and made them look very unprofessional. No one I spoke to had questions prepared. I was later informed by e-mail that I did not get the job. The whole process was extremely time-consuming and not well done.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
