I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle
Interview
This interview process was so frustrating. Especially since this was a fast food job they did absolutely way too much. First it was a brief phone interview. I received an email confirming a face to face interview. I spoke to the apprentice. He showed me around the back of the resultant and made it seem as if I was that much closer to the job. Then was called in to speak to the manager, assistant manager, and 2 crew members! Seriously. All of this so the manager could tell me he didn't think I had enough high energy for the job. I was interviewed in the restaurant while customers were seated eating I didn't particularly want to make a scene.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
