I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (McKinney, TX) in Aug 2014
Interview
I got a call quite a few weeks after applying. Went up to cashier to say I was there for an interview, gave me free drink. First interviewed with the GM and then a crew member. Now they like to do GM then have you come in for group interview with several crew members. The first interview mostly consists of asking you about yourself and about how much you know about the company. Definitely research Chipotle and what they stand for!! The interview with the crew members is gonna vary. They can ask you pretty much anything that comes to mind but it's never too hard like how do you deal with stress and what position you see yourself working in the restaurant. I participated in a lot of interviews. Just come off as friendly, hard working, and competent and you're in.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.

Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
