I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Mineola, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
Very easy, laid back, and fun interview. It seemed less like an interview and more like a regular chat with someone. They try and see what type of person you are. They want to see that you have the 13 characteristics (Google them). They want to make sure you are ambitious and friendly and can communicate well. Prior experience is helpful, but doesn't matter, its all about presentation and the 13 characteristics. Also, make sure you know about the Company's history and the founder; those two are big.
I had an interview with the service manager first, then the next day was invited in to interview with the general manager. The second interview was a bit long since I also interviewed with a few members of the crew. I got an offer right after.

Question 1
If you are prepping food in the morning and finish early, would you just go on break until the store opens?
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.

Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
