I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Santee, CA)
Interview
First off let me start by telling you that I did tons of research on glass door and thought , well the interview process can't be that bad. Boy was I wrong, first interview was super easy, there was 6 of us but we were split up into groups of two. I was interviewed by a crew member who at the end had the manager come speak to me and he said he thinks I would be a great addition and wants to hire me. After this I was feeling extremely confident, they asked me on the spot to come back three days later. Three days pass and I go back for my second interview expecting it to be as long as the other one which was about an hour long. But no , I spoke to a different manager this time, who asked me 3 questions, asked for my name and number, then said she would call me within two days. This took less than 5 minutes. Two days later, still no call. So I call and they tell me to come back AGAIN for a third interview. I get there and wait around for a while before being interviewed by crew members. They asked me the same exact questions as the first and second interview and at the end I thought I had the job. They say they'll call me later that night, no call. I call back the next day and they say they'll call me later, yet again, no call. This is ridiculous. Chipotle you need to work on communication.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
