I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ciena (Ottawa, ON) in Nov 2015
Interview
Applied on their website. Whole process was about 4 weeks. Phone interview asking about school, work experience. Some basic technical questions about operating systems, systems design. Called in for an in-person interview. Again, behavioral questions and some technical questions. Had a nice group presentation during lunch, showing their product.
Cancelled my rescheduled interview without any communication from HR. Got ghosted when asked for an explanation. 2 days later, I get a notification that the position is closed. Will never bother applying here again.
Good experience. Only 2 interviews; 1 for soft skills and 1 for technical skills. I ended up getting the job. Fairly easy interview. Good place to work. Why need many word, when few word do trick?
