I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Cisco
Average interview
Application
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Cisco in Sep 2010
Interview
There are very few positions for regular employees. Most recently new hires are through other man power agencies. They would provide a list of candidates and the manager will call him/her to get an idea about the candidate. Then a group of members from the team will meet with the candidate for an interview asking questions from personal and technical aspects. If you are new fresh from school, you will have a higher chance to be hired as a contractor. If you perform OK, you might be converted to a regular employees after a few years. I have seen people working as a contractor for all their life and never have been converted. Contractors don't get any benefits such as 401K, medical health care, dental care, vision care, or vacations or holiday pays.
