I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cisco in Feb 2014
Interview
Applied for an internship though a UNC job fair. Was interviewed a few weeks later at a Starbucks off campus (unusual for jobs through career fairs which are usually interviewed for on campus). Had to wait months and months to hear back from the company and had to send multiple email for that to even happen. There was a ton of miscommunication and non-communication between the three different recruiters I was required to talk to.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me which division I wanted to work with then proceeded to explain all the divisions and pick 2-3 for me without giving me a chance to answer or even prove that I knew about all the divisions beforehand.
Good company, fast interview process. I like the team and have heard good things as well from ex colleagues who joined Cisco in general. Recruiter was also very helpful and prepared me for the interview. I did not join as the timing was not right for me, but would recommend this as a place to work.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cisco in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process went well. The discussion was engaging, and I appreciated the opportunity to share my experience and learn more about the role and team. I’m looking forward to hearing the next steps.
5 Step Process. Two recruiter, team members, VP. Process is quite simple, however recruiter might not know entirely the need of the business. Unfortunately not being able to speak to VP, to really understand what the company needed at this point in time.
