      Sales Interview

      May 12, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco

      Interview

The interview process was hectic, I was called at 5-6 pm on one day and was forced to do a phone interview the very next day early in the morning. The interview was very basic and easy with only personal and CV related questions, however, it seems very unprofessional. The HR lady was in a very loud room and it was difficult to understand what she was asking, she was, of course, taking notes during the interview, but she was very slow at it and no matter how slow I was speaking she was always cutting me off and making me repeat what I had said several times. The decision that I passed this round was made immediately and when it came to me asking questions about moving on, it turned out that they had not paid enough attention to reviewing my Resume and to the details that I provided during the interview to figure out that I did not meet their requirements about the position, namely not being fluent in Dutch (something which was not explicitly mentioned in the internship description that I read).

      Interview

I've applied online and shortly after I've been contacted by a Cisco recruiter whom I had a short, yet thorough conversation with. Mainly it was around my experience and the role itself for making sure it was a fit. As a next step I've met with two BU leaders who I am supposed to work with once at regime. We've had a very open grown up conversation about both the market itself and the strategy at high level during which I've answered questions in regards of what I see as a trend at the moment and what are my predictions for the foreseeable future. As a last step I met with my prospective line manager and once again the conversation was centred around strategy and best practise. I genuinely enjoyed the whole process as these guys really seem to be great people to work with and they made my excitement for the role growing through the roof at each step!
