ECE department offers a speech test for all candidates to qualify for the TA/ GA positions. The test is conducted by a panel which grades your performance. The test is easy and only criteria observed is how well you teach and able to communicate to the panel of expert professor judges.

Pretty simple. I went into the professor's office and talked to him about what he would want a graduate teaching assistant to do, and he asked me questions to determine if I would be a good fit.
