      Revenue Strategy Manager Interview

      Feb 1, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Clipboard (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

I received an email from the company and was invited for a 15 minute phone call for the following week. I read the reviews on Glassdoor, and I decided to speak with several employees in the organization to gain more insight on the hiring process and the company. Employees were honest about their experiences. The general consensus was that they are understaffed managers and individual contributors are severely overwhelmed with work. I made it through the entire interview process (I completed informational interviews, two case studies, and had 4 interviews with managers in the organization) including a meeting with Bo, CBH’s President/COO. The worst of all the meetings was with Bo, who is also the CEO’s husband. He is the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I have ever interviewed with. He made me feel defeated by his argumentative demeanor, and I wouldn’t consider myself as a sensitive person (I’m an enneagram 5 for reference). It’s telling that he doesn’t understand the nursing industry either, which is sad. Anyway, the interview he scheduled with me was supposed to be 20 minutes, but then he ended up spending and wasting an hour of my time. We spent 25-30 minutes on 1 interview question simply because he didn’t understand the industry nor did he take the time to understand. He only took the time to explain the same question over and over again. And then after all of this, I get an automated response telling me that I’m not getting the role. Bo didn’t have the audacity to email me himself and tell me he didn’t want to move forward with me. Truly a horrible experience!!! And I wouldn’t recommend it. The company has a new initiative where they are now going to be sourcing candidates themselves, so if they contact you beware!!! CBH also doesn’t care about the candidates that are spending their time interviewing for them, which is sad especially when you have people that are spending a portion of their life/time away from their children and other responsibilities to do free work. Also, when you get rejected at the very last stage of the interview with the highest person in the role, it shows that the company doesn’t actually trust its employees or that person doesn’t trust their employees’ judgements. The job description also says that the company is willing to train sales people and managers, which is a flat out lie because on the company’s notion page they wrote “which one of our customers is paying [an employee’s] tuition to learn?”. And that was written by Bo himself. I mean look at all of the people that went through the interview process with these Glassdoor reviews (and remember these reviews are only based off of the people that decided to write a review).

      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Clipboard (New York, NY) in Jun 2023

      Interview

You first had to do a long case study that took a few hours. This was before talking to anyone. I then met with someone on the team for 30 minutes followed by two 45 minute calls with the hiring manager. Everything was recorded and they asked me a ton of questions about my current company's strategy. I was moved to a final round with their President. Right before, he cancelled our call because he was sick. I then did not get the job even though they never rescheduled.
