Right after you apply you receive a case study assignment. I read their blog, I knew this was how they were operating and I honestly found it a bit refreshing - the opportunity to show my skills versus trying to communicate them all on a resume was exciting. I read the reviews here and on Reddit and I thought for sure they were just folks who didn't like this process or who spent an hour working on the case study and thought it warranted an interview. I've been in the hiring seat so I get it, hundreds of people apply and most don't put forth much effort. So I chose from 3 case studies offered and spent a week working on it - interviewing 5 people in a specific industry, writing and rewriting to perfect my case study. Even had others review it to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Sure enough, 5 days after submission I get the cold email rejection so many others have referenced. Given that no one seems to actually be getting interviews, and folks have mentioned internal employees citing unethical use of the case studies, I do really hope they are investigated by the DoL as this feels very fishy and scammy.
