Wow, what a thrilling saga. I received an email on a Monday congratulating me on being selected to advance to a one-way interview. The email outlined next steps which included being on the lookout for a follow-up email with instructions. When I emailed the recruiter a few days later to inquire after the status of said email, I was told that due to an automated messaging error I was not, in fact, selected to advance. The HR representative went on the explain that the rejection email I received was actually the correct communication. However, I never received a rejection email. Shortly after this conversation, I received TWO MORE emails prompting me to complete not only the one-way interview but an assessment. A profoundly poor experience for any applicant.
