I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudera (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
One phone + 6 onsite.
Phone interview was just discussion past project.
Onsite was 3 programming + 1 lunch + 1 discussion
Overall the company's atmosphere looked pretty lifeless and dull.
The first interviewer was full of arrogance. She gave me 5 min to ask question and I asked one question. She said ok, we utilized just three minutes, so for 2 minute, She said that she wants to ask one more question to you. I was like " is this real" . This female has no respect for people who come to her company for interview.
Second interview was even bigger idiot. For full 45 mins, ( I am not kidding), he asked me which is more important " Design review or code review" . It is like asking, which is more important "apple" or "orange". And this was the only question for full 45 mins. I realized what I am dealing with but never lost my cool and kept the interviewee engaged.
Rest of the interviews was coding. Interestingly they asked me the same question for onsite which they asked for phone interview. This means they do not even read through resume or previous interviewer feedback.
I would not recommend anyone to interview with them as it was one wild ride for me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
leetcode, DS..nothing difficult. Just look at old glassdoor questions. They do not even know more question to ask and probably will ask you the same question.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cloudera (Manipal) in Sep 2025
Interview
It had 3 rounds. 2 technical and 1 managerial/technical. Both the technical rounds includes a DSA question each. First round they asked me solve the DSA question followed by the question I could solve in the OT.
Since my entire resume was ML based, all the rounds focused on ml fundamentals.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cloudera
Interview
three total rounds: Technical screen --> phone screen --> final round onsite; leetcode style questions and standard behavioral questions. Fast process and technical questions are framed with relevance to the work being done. Everyone was very friendly and helpful
