The interviewer was 10 minutes late calling me, offered no apology and then spent the majority of our time complaining about their job and those who report to them (which I would if I chose to work there). Their frustrations were in the growth the company is experiencing and that there was a lack of support from management in overseeing the division they oversee - meanwhile they also complained about traveling a lot between offices (London, NYC, SFO, Austin) and hadn’t had much time off. Just a lot of complaints with very little description of the job or what they are hoping to build.
The HR contact was also incredibly unprofessional. Not only were they incredibly delayed and chaotic in scheduling the interview, but when I followed up after speaking the hiring manager to raise my concerns with what had happened while speaking to the, the HR contact said they’d like to know more and that they’d call to discuss, which didn’t happen.
There seems to be a lot of unhappy employees sharing their experience here on Glassdoor so after this interview I was more keen to believe them and declined to join their team.
Hopefully they come to realize how important culture is in today’s job market.
