This was unfortunately but easily the most disorganized and unprofessional interview experience I have had. To give at least some positive feedback, some of the initial leadership conversations were encouraging. Sadly, the experience went completely off the rails from there. I wanted to give some extra slack since these interviews were being conducted virtually during coronavirus, however since id interviewed with numerous other companies during the time period with near zero issues, it's hard to not identify Cloudflare's interview process as nothing short of a train wreck. Even though today's job market now favors the employer unlike 5 months ago, i imagine that Cloudflare is losing several candidates as result and it looks like that is validated in other reviews. Issues included but were not limited to: — recruiting going dark for over a week after asking me to block out hours of schedule the next day — the entire interview panel schedule provided by recruiting was incorrect with different people interviewing (if showing up at all) at the wrong times — multiple interviewers did not know the position they were evaluating for (we all know sometimes people dont have time to look at resumes, thats fine. but at least know what position you’re evaluating for) — two interviewers simply did not show up (recruiting was totally lost when I finally asked them if the interviews were still on….finally they got in touch with me to say the interviews would have to be rescheduled for other days) …and three interviewers were >20 minutes late (for a 30 minute discussion), which when compared to the experiences above, was just a simple inconvenience. Finally, it’s been over a month and I haven’t heard anything back. Which is okay, because the experience did its job to demonstrate what it might be like to work at Cloudflare.
