      People Operations Specialist Interview

      Mar 30, 2021

      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Cloudflare

      Interview

The process: Initial Phone Screen (30 minutes) Peer Interview Panel (2 hours) - This was spread out throughout 1 day. Leadership Interview Panel (1.5 hours) - This was also spread out. I had 2 interviews on 1 day, and 1 more on the following day. The process was thorough, but very lengthy. The interviewers seemed knowledgeable in their subject areas, and also seemed to all be on the same wavelength company culture wise. The questions were pretty standard, but the process was a bit exhausting. I was not selected for the role, and I am comfortable with that decision. However, I was very disappointed in the way I was notified of my rejection. After all the lengthy interviews and making it to the final round, I was sent a generic automated template rejection. During my interviews, the team had mentioned working on "inserting empathy" into interactions and processes, so this was especially jarring.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you insert empathy into template responses?
