The whole process took 1 month.
I did 6 out of 7 interviews with 6 different managers in different roles.
At the end, with great disappointment, they came back to me with a classic email script saying that "there was a more qualified candidate." I asked for a call to better understand the rejection, and they told me the following:
- The MOCK CALL interview (second stage of the process) wasn't so good
- I didn't ask too many questions
- They brought me to the 6th interview only to "see how I would have performed"
In the light of all the above, I replied:
- Why did you move me to the following stage if I wasn't successful? Wasn't it a waste of time for both parties to make progress further, a candidate you knew wasn't fit for the role?
- I did ask at least 20 questions, and I reached a point where I ran out of them. What should I have asked for more? personal questions?
- In the end, they moved me to almost a final stage only to waste my and their time, something you do not expect from such a multi-billion-dollar business like this
