I started with an initial screening interview with a recruiter. This same recruiter shepherded me through the entire interview process from beginning to end and was very friendly, easy to work with, and responsive. From there I had a live coding interview in Python. The engineer who conducted the interview was extremely positive and encouraging. After that, I had another meeting with the recruiter to discuss what to expect next for my interviews. Next I had three back to back interviews with the hiring manager, another coding interview, and a behavioral interview with an engineering director. I was really impressed by the engineer manager's responses to questions I had on diversity and inclusion, and the engineer who conducted the second coding interview was equally as pleasant as the engineer who conducted the first coding interview. I had one additional interview with a hiring manager for another team, but ultimately the process didn't move forward because my technical skill level wasn't the right fit for any of their current openings. This process took around a month from start to finish, but in my experience this is typical of engineering interviews. However, the excellent communication I received from the recruiter throughout the process was definitely above average. I felt very prepared for what to expect in each step and never felt like I was left hanging in between my interviews. I would definitely interview with Coalition again if a position opened up on my skill level.
