I applied online and heard back the next day. Pretty standard process: - Recruiter interview/screening - 1hr technical interview - very practical - 45 min behavioral interview with the hiring manager - Virtual onsite - coding (again, practical) - frontend focused systems design (build a part of Amazon from scratch) - behavioral - talked with a member of the product team about various Interviewing as a software engineer is such a mixed bag. I found the interview process at Coalition to be very straightforward and kind of enjoyable (as interviews go). I didn't do very well on the systems design portion (it's a constant pain point for me) but b/c I demonstrated proficiency in the technical portions and connected well with the hiring manager they worked with me to put together a very strong offer. All in all, despite my challenge around systems design, the team at Coalition made me feel competent and valued
