I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Vellore) in Aug 2016
Interview
It was a campus interview from Tier 1 institute VIT University and fortunately VIT university has good relationship with Cognizant. Since I am from mechanical engineering background, in the technical round, they asked about my project and basic question from mechanical engineering. Later on they switched to programming. In HR interview they just asked to sign their terms and conditions. Also, they asked if I am comfortable relocating anywhere in India to which obvious answer was 'Yes'.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. As I told I was from mechanical background, they asked me about the project I had done.
2. Fundamental Laws of thermodynamics (I highly doubt interviewer himself knew it or not)
3. Write a program in the language of your choice. (Shouldn't be too simple)
Smooth interview process as well as it was very interesting with ample feedback at the end. I enjoyed the conversation a lot and coverted the interview and accepted the offer.
