I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cognizant (Chennai)
Interview
I was for Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited. It was an on-campus recruitment from my college during my Bachelor's program.
I carried a one-page resume for the interview. The interview took off with the interviewer's first question - Tell me about yourself. Then I was asked to write a program in C++. He looked into my transcript and wanted to ask me questions on Microcontrollers. I immediately let him know that I was a weak candidate in that subject, and he decided not to go any further with that. He then asked what I knew about Cognizant, and why I wish to be a part of that company. The one-on-one interview went on for about half an hour, and by the end of the interview, I somehow knew I would be recruited and I was.

Question 1
How would you explain C++ for a layman? (Something similar to this. These are not his exact words. He wanted me to bring some kind of an analogy between Electronics and Computer Science, as I was basically from Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering background)
Smooth interview process as well as it was very interesting with ample feedback at the end. I enjoyed the conversation a lot and coverted the interview and accepted the offer.
