I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cognizant (Sangamner) in Oct 2019
Interview
It was an AMCAT based online assessment. It had 4 sections
1. English
2. Quantitative aptitude (Be quick with your calculations)
3. Logical (A bit tough but with enough practice you can crack this pretty easily)
4. Automata fix(Again if you're good with programming easy as pie)
Around 500 students were shortlisted from 7-8 colleges
After 1 week or two we were called for Interview. Interviewers were very friendly and the interview went quite smooth for 15-20 min for most people. Personally my went long for 40-45 min because I was way to excited to tell him about my project.
Despite the fact that I took the longest interview time, I was complimented for my technical knowledge & communication skills.
Even the HR was very approachable they'd ask you all the normal questions just read a article how to prepare for hr rounds, be calm and collected also have don't respond anything harsh. In addition to this do a research on the company they'll ask you how much you know their company.
After a couple of days the results of the drive were sent and I was selected among other 70-80 students or so
Make sure that you're honest, don't fake it.
Be well prepared with your project if they're interested in your project they'll ask you entirely about your project
Two interviews with coding test and and aptitute test , pretty easy , aske about projects done and java oops questions also sql question , position was full stack developer
We had many rounds like 3 rounds before interview and interview was quite good. I got selected into cognizant as and programmer analyst trainee. I did not focus much on java, so due to that i Got 4 lpa
They asked very basic questions of reversing a string java basics and sql introduction and asked some data structures concepts finally few hr questions so on finally interviewer looks very strict interview got rejected
