Very unorthodox process. There was no real interview; I received a cold call after applying and was asked only two questions, both surprisingly easy. I was then told I'd need to pass a 70-minute assessment to qualify for training: one week of virtual training via Teams (camera and participation required, 40 hours total), followed by three days of on-site training (bring your own laptop). When I asked about pay for this training, I was told all of it was unpaid — nearly two weeks of unpaid training before you're even offered an employment contract. It felt designed to leave candidates with no real alternative but to accept the offer, since there'd be no way to keep a backup job during that stretch. The recruiter also repeatedly pushed for phone calls despite my stated preference for email. Overall a strange, off-putting process, which is a shame given the company's otherwise good employee reviews. If this is a new process, I'd strongly recommend reconsidering it.
