Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. DGA - District General Agent interview questions

The interviewing process is casual, and normally, not too lengthy. There are 2 rounds of interviews, and on the 1st phone call, you will be asked about some of your experience, to make sure it aligns with the position you are applying for. First questions are usually around having your own means of transportation, and being able to pass a background check in order to get your Life & Health license. They have openings for Sales Reps, Agency Managers, and District Managers. Your experience in sales, and leadership roles will dictate which they decide on. 2nd interview goes more in depth about the 1099 Position. Most of your time will be spent doing field work - B2B sales, and getting your own business up, and running. So, it is performance based, and there is not a base pay - Currently, most of the positions with Colonial Life aren't, uness working corporately under UNUM. However, their commission structures, and bonus plans are easy to obtain, and you can make great money for yourself. In some cases you are able to speak with your Territory Manager to negotiate financing/ drawer for an agreed upon timeframe (think weeks, not months) to get you on your feet and start making sales, if you are an ADM, or DGA.
