      Director Strategic Analytics Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Comcast (Philadelphia, PA) in Apr 2017

      Interview

Recruiter reached out asked standard set of questions, connected me to an ED had a phone screen, sent me a set of SQL based questions and some basic excel data analysis. Had to do the analysis within a fixed time frame. Called for an interview to the Philly office (day long interviews) . Half behavioral and half technical interviews. All the people I met from the VP to the managers looked very friendly and wanted to judge fit. Received the offer pretty much take-it-or-leave-it numbers handed to you. Recruiter gave no wiggle room to negotiate anything. Kind of frustrating as if the company was doing me a favor. After reading the fine print and keeping on asking house keeping questions a strange fact came out - you pretty much do not have any benefits for the first 90 days. Even no health insurance and the money comes out of your pocket. That became the straw to break the camel's neck. Kind of strange first they slightly low ball you with a number etched in stone then the part hidden clause comes out after some quizzing. It seemed like a great company to work for in terms of the brand value and prestige. Just that they need to be a little less rusty in dealing with different people and their different needs. End of the day all the things broke down for a petty 7-8K dollars. Don't want to be judgemental but that's one area they need to work on.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They got a little hung up on why I changed a couple of jobs in the past had to explain for quite sometime since I worked for a couple of failed startups in the past.
