Was called by headhunter. (1) Did Telephone Interview and he was impressed. (2) Completed Profile Information Questions and(3)Passed the Online Assessment. Next step to set phone conference call with a Mgr 1 Customer Account Executive, Charleston Customer Care. He was on vacation and when he called a week later than original set time, he was late and he had not reviewed the my Profile Questions or Online Assessment info and only had a resume copy. It was as if he saw my strong credentials and age was looking for a younger hire. After the short phone interview, he stated they just said he needed more experience. I have over 20 years of successful experience. Still hiring for same position and the original recruiter is amazed I'm not hired. Was told to make sure age related info not available until face to face interview.. . Interesting for a Company that touts Diversity in it's hiring practices. Maybe color, gender or sexual choice are considered but I think Age discrimination is really not considered as a relevant discrimination. The recruiter stated that many are scared of "over-qualified" candidates.
