I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Comcast (Hudson, NH) in Aug 2019
Interview
I applied online. I was contacted by a recruiter within a few days. I was invited by the recruiter to attend a hiring event Comcast was hosting where I could interview. I attended and did an interview with a gentlemen who's title I am unsure of. Granted he is only one person, he is still representing Comcast, and he did so very cavalier as though he was bothered to have been at the event and meeting with me. I kept my composure and remained professional with a smile. Not even some appropriate humor lightened the guy up.
One concern that I had about the position was its schedule. I attend one campus college class per week, which would require me to leave not even an hour early. I hoped that it would be reasonable to leave early one day and make up the time the other four days. When I asked about this he made it clear that there was no wiggle room whatsoever. I was surprised given that one of Comcast's employee benefits they are always sure to advertise is tuition reimbursement. (When I asked the recruiter about my class when I first spoke to her on the phone, she even toted this benefit...) He expressed "business needs", which I complete empathize with, but it seems awfully contradicting to not have any room to negotiate.
I also learned based off some of the questions in the interview that the position was not what I thought it was. It became clear to me that this position would require me to be sitting behind a desk, wearing a headset, placing 100 cold calls per day to business... Definitely not as advertised.
The day after my interview I emailed the recruiter and withdrew my application.

Interview
The interview was very smooth and structured well. They kept informed even leading up to the interview. I enjoyed speaking with recruiters. I would highly recommend their process for other businesses.

Question 1
How would my experience make me a good fit for the role?
Online screening followed by phone interview. It was simple and pretty short timeline. Maybe a month from first interview to hire. Very little preparation required. I’m not sure about other departments.
Had 1 interview and by the end of it I got offered the position and started the next steps in the hiring process. The lady and I had a great conversation and she made me feel very comfortable, 10/10! Quick and easy!
