I contacted a particular recruiter when my father met a comcast guy doing a trouble call at his house, he gave the name of the recruiter and his number to me. I called the recruiter that night and left a message, he returned my call the next day. I gave him an overview of my background in communications (U.S. Marine Corps field Wire-man, took a college course for copper and coaxial cabling through a local community college.) The first conversation wasn't lenghlty, he told me he wanted to speak with me over the phone more. He asked me to call him back the next day at noon, so I did. We then talked more about why I wanted a job at Comcast, my job experiences, he gave me the lowdown of the installation tech. job i was applying for, and what the starting wages would be, $14-$17/hr. we talked for about 25 minutes. He then sent me an email containing a link to a website that I took tests on. There was some math, (fractions and percentages) , and a part where you had to check if a set of numbers mixed with characters were matching or not, this was timed. Some of the parts are designed so no one can finish all the questions within the time given and some are intended for most people to finish with the time given. I completed that, it doesn't tell you how you did,and now I'm just waiting for Monday to call the recruiter for him to tell me what to do next.
