Submitted my resume online after seeing the job posting on LinkedIn. Didn’t hear any response for a long time and eventually got pinged by the “Executive Recruiter”. The interaction with her was the oddest I ever had in my entire career. She would setup a time for a call and then not show up, then email asking for an another appt and then not respond to the email that I provided my availability. In the meantime, I’d see many posts/pictures from her on LinkedIn about the social and corporate events that she and others in the company are participating. This cat and mouse teasing routine/cycle went on for a few more weeks. Then, she decided to conduct a “phone screen” which was not a screen at all but just simply checking the box. Later, I discovered that they had hired an outside search firm who already decided on a candidate that best suited company’s diversity goals and already known by the Hiring Manager personally. At that point, I decided not to respond to any Comcast Recruiter that is simply trolling on LinkedIn.
