Went through preliminary interview process. Last interview was almost 6 weeks ago. My application status still says" in process". Not sure what to think of this. Could it possibly take his long eliminate a candidate or make an offer?

I had to go through a phone interview with the recruiter. Once that was done, I was set up with a panel interview consisting of the two hiring managers. I was in that interview for about an hour. After that, I really didn't know if I was rejected or not because I did not hear anything for about a month and a half. Once I did hear back, I was scheduled for the second round with another panel. This time I sat with 5 out of 7 supervisors. They then let me know in about a week that I did not get the position through email.
