I applied the the recruiter called me less than ten minutes later. We had a brief phone interview (about 15 minutes).
She passed my information along to the manager and gave me the timeline of about a week to hear back. I heard back in three days. I was invited in for an interview.
The interview itself was not difficult, and both managers were quite friendly. They did their best to make it a comfortable environment. They then invited me in to shadow the position.
Their questions are largely behavioral (familiarize yourself with the STAR format) but not difficult whatsoever.
I shadowed with two people from the department for about three hours. During this, I had a peer-to-peer interview with two more people from the department (not managers). Everyone was very nice!
I completed my reference check and was extended an offer. Unfortunately, due to a competing offer with another hospital, I had to turn down this opportunity. It was a difficult decision, but I got the sense that this department is very close-knit.
