Recruiter contacted me for an interview and said they wanted me to speak with the hiring manager. After a couple weeks, they reached out to me with one time option to speak to the hiring manager the next day, which I couldn't make work. I followed-up, and the recruiter said they were pausing the position. A few weeks later, I followed-up and they said they made an offer to someone else. The lack of communication is very unprofessional, and it just was an overall strange process.
