Interview
Can't go into detail as had to sign an NDA. A pretty messy process overall. My first interview involved me sat in a call for an hour, the recruiters who organised the interview were uncontactable and only after the interview finished did I get a response that they were sorry and it needed to be re-arranged. It was a bit of a red flag but these things happen. The interviews feel as though they expect you to regurgitate the perfect solution as they ask questions about the details. Personally I don't believe these interviews would give Confluent a good understanding of a candidates problem solving ability, their collaborative ability or their thought process - but it will tell them if you can search the internet for their interview process as I've just found out from Glass Door that their process is still leaked (despite the NDA?)

I went through a SWE interview process. It was a positive experience. The problems were of medium difficulty, with some harder follow ups. I had two technical interviews and a manager round. Ultimately, I did not receive an offer, but I would reapply.

Interview
I interviewed for an entry level frontend engineer position. There were 4 rounds - a qualifying hackerrank, followed by 2 technical interviews, and then a final round with the hiring manager.
The process moves quickly, which was really refreshing (many large companies take weeks or months to invite you to an interview). In my experience, recruiting was very responsive, and they let me know ahead of time what general topics to expect for each interview, so there were no big surprises.
